Dev Anand, the ‘evergreen romantic’ hero of Hindi cinema died in London today, following a cardiac arrest. He was 88. Dev Anand made his debut in 1946 in ‘Huk Ek Hain’, Ziddi was his first big hit, and he followed that up with numerous others like Baazi, Paying Guest, Johnny Mera Naam, Jewel Thief, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and C.I.D. Towards the later years, Dev Anand switched to directing and producing movies and continued to make movies till the last years of his life.
